Sounds right
kbps results need to divided by 8 to give KB/s results (there are 8 kilobits in 1 kilobyte).
So, a 190kbps connection should give you (when divided by 8), a theoretical maximum download speed with LimeWire of 23.8 KB/s.
If you are getting 20 KB/s, all seems normal.
the "magnetmix test" is just to download one of the legal (and free) files to your LimeWire. Any of the files from http://www.magnetmix.com/audio2.shtml should max out your connection, and provide a real test of your gnutella download speed. |
