I have found one thing that seems to work... I moved all the files inside my downloads/sharing folder into a new folder so that that my downloads/sharing folder is empty... now it doesnt seem to freeze or stall. The problem with this is now i now can't share with anyone... which isn't very good.

Also as soon as i put the files back into the folder it freezes again :(

I also changed the Java to 1.5 and it seems to work ok...

*** wondering if this helps to solve the mysterious problem***

OK--that confirms that it is a problem with the "verifying" part.

Does it also freeze when completing a larger download? The download will show "verifying file."

It freezes when i do searches or downloads... doesnt seem to matter if it is a big or small files. Even if i just search for files and do not have anything downloading it freezes.

I have tried it numerous times today with no files in the sharing folder and it seems to work ok, only get freezes every now and then.. especially if i use other programs like adobe products etc...but nothing like what it did when i did have files in there...
