![]() As being one using LimeWire and FrostWire on a constant basis (including betas, versions I compile myself and all), I really don't know how LW could ever slow down your machine or play with your settings. The problems must be through the files you download from LW and then install on your computer. True, LW sometimes corrupt his own preferences, but it can't simply play on other directories. Anyhow, Apple technies are WRONG on that matter, they should know better as techies. If LW was playing with kernel extensions and drivers, I could understand how it could interfer with the OS. If a Java app like LW interfer with an OS, its the OS engineers that should solve their OS specific problem. Mind you, I'm an os x user, and I don't blame Apple for the os I love, but their Java implementation is subpar and troublesome and could account for performance degradation. LW? No. Ciao
