Hi to all,
i«m using Limewire pro 4.9.3 and it works very well. Today i downloaded the newest version 4.10.3 and tryed to install it. But every time when i doubleclick the installer i get the Stuffit Expander message: An error occured attempting to expand "Install LimeWire.pkg". A folder was specified when a file was required. Error #17530 Does anybody know what happend? Thanx for your help Torsten |

Which browser did you use to downld the LW dmg file? It sounds to me like you have an incomplete dmg due to your browser's difficulties with handling dmg files. I'd recommend deleting that installer & re-downlding it using Safari. It was the 4.10.3 you downlded right & not the 4.0.10 Classic version?

Hi Lord,
i just downloaded it using Safari and yes, it was the right version for OSX. So this should not be the problem. And i tryed it two times, same error. Thanx for your reply Torsten |

Stief made this point: Stuffit shouldn't be involved at all. The dmg should be on the desktop, and rather than double-clicking, you should control-click and use the "open with" option to choose disk utility, or just drag the dmg into disk utility
Stuffit prefs should be set to NOT open .dmg's. If the new stuffit did this, that's not good. |
