Question limewire update 4.10.5 causing major slowdown

I have had limewire for about a year had no problems. I noticed there was an update limewire message flashing and decided to get the new 4.10.5 last week. Ever since then my mac has been running slow as molesas. All the applications are running very slowly. I checked on a different user on my same computer and there are no problems only on my user which is the one with the limewire installed so its not the computer itself. My mac is an emac 10.3.9. Anybody have the solution to this. I checked a few other threads and saw something about limewire slowing down the macs. I don't have a copy of the older version of limewire that I had before this version and I don't remember which it was but I never had any problems til now. Any advice?
