Just wondering if those lucky people here that have a G5 if there having problems with the new limewire. does it run terribly terribly slow (like my one does) or does it fly along and never ever crashes. Just curious.

Hi and welcome to Gnutella forums
No problem at all but I close&restart LW every hour
Could you try to repair permissions on your drive through DU ?
And by the way, which OS do your run ?

Default LW on G5

I would recommend installing Java 1.5 & forcing LW to use Java 1.5
1. Java 1.5 release 3, & also 2. Setting up Java 1.5

recon009 , we need more info.

Could you open the Console (in Applications/Utilities folder), and watch what errors it gives when you try to open LimeWire?

That will give us more to go on.

Hi recon

That log is quite useful, but the indications don't look good.

I'm no expert, but have been told that bus errors usually mean hardware problems, especially bad RAM

Did your machine come with the Apple Hardware Test CD? Although it doesn't catch everything, there is a RAM test you can run from it.

I'm not sure where else you can go to get your RAM checked. If you find a good RAM checker, (or links) let us know.
