So...i was just wondering if i downloaded a file then deleted it from my library, is it completly gone from my hard drive? i'm not trying to recover a file i'm just trying to make sure someone can't find a file. Also how do you actually uninstall limewire from the mac os x operating system? is there any other way besides draging it into the trash? i just don't want some files i downloaded recovered. Thanks for the help

Delete the file, empty the trash bin, then defrag the disk.

On OS X, defrag is automatic, and thus not recommended.
To securely delete a file, by going to the folder through LimeWire's Explore button, then dragging the file to the trash, then use the Finder's "Secure Empty Trash" menu item. Deleting a file through the LW Library Delete button probably just does a normal delete. |
