i am having issues with new pro program. all it does is freeze and i can't even read anything on the page at all. i unistalled the 4.12.8 to get back my old one. now when i go to download music all i get is the artist direct website..does anyone know why it keeps doing that? it is very irritating and i want it fixed or my money back....

The problem with being redirected to artistdirect has been solved with the newest version of LW, which you can download here:

A general advice regarding downloads. Avoid files which show up in the search results with hundreds of hosts; choose from files with some 10-20 hosts. Also try o use the "Look up with Bitzi" function to check the file before you download it.

There is no 4.12.8 yet, I think you mean 4.12.3 perhaps.

The freezes link FOTH left above is for windows not OSX. Which version of LW are you using now that you uninstalled the new version?

If upgrading to pro, it's often best to delete your LW preferences folder whilst LW is closed, found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

It would be helpful to know which OSX version you're running so specific advice can be given.

Shame on me.......how could I miss that the user has a RARE Mac.......
