Sorry for the late reply. Try a safe boot & repair permissions. ie: reboot whilst holding down SHIFT key until you see option to start in safe mode & choose it. Then once started, go to Utilities folder & open Disk Utility & choose repair permissions (see sample below.) Then reboot normally.
Also delete your LW prefs folder found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire
