Unhappy download problems with explorer and safari

I seem to have real problems downloading and opening document attatchments from mail, any answers????my main search engine is with explorer 5.2
the system does not seem to be able to translate document attatchments ,weird no ,my system is mac osx 10.2 Regards rab

Explorer is not totally OSX compatible & can't handle a no. of OSX formats properly at all. I'd recommend Safari, or Netscape or others. I use netscape & safari predominantly but there's better ones than netscape.
