2. I can assure you, the mac wmp program totally sucks & doesn't play much. Get MPlayer & VLC - (click on link) as suggested via personal message to you. As a mac user you should know better than to download such an inferior quality format such as wma or wmp. How to change default was explained via pm.

Another option for wma/wmv files is Flip4Mac. The expensive versions allow you to convert from such files. It works with QuickTime, but best if you have QT Pro to get the most out of it.
