Default files incomplete folder won't delete

I want to delete the files from my computer of some so the files would go away and I can get space. It works, bu t they come back.

When I delete it in the incomplete folder it comes back. If I delete them in the download list, they are gone, but they don't get deleted. And I go to the libarary and click delete and they also come back. Is there any way of actually deleting them for good?

Use the explore button to get to the download folder, and then delete them from there as you would with any file on your computer.

Your problem is still unclear to me, and I am not LimeWire support you know.

The incomplete folder is always re-created when LimeWire starts--but should be empty and take no space after it has been deleted.

To find space on your hard disk, double-click the hard drive, view the window in list mode, then set the view options to calculate all sizes. This will take a while to calculate the sizes of all the folders, but should enable you to see where there is an accumulation of files that you may want to backup to CD/DVD before you delete them.

If most of the space is taken up with the Music folder, use iTunes to burn then delete files.

I am not referring to you, I am talking about anyone in this forum, not just you. I'd be wasting time if I was just referring to one person.

But anyways, I want the files gone for good. When I cancel and delete it, I want it gone forever, not making it be able to come back. this is any file I want.

Why back up these files if they are not done to be downloaded yet.

Also, all the files are being shared in the shared folder. I don't know what you are referring to.

You know what? Forget about it. I know this quesiton is easy enough for one of you pros to figure out. It isn't like I am asking for a difficult question. I am very disappointed with the support I have gotton and I will ask this question somewhere eles.

That's just the way the program is designed. If you wish to delete them permanently, delete them from both the incomplete folder and the downloads window. See this thread Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)
BTW we don't work for limewire. We are volunteers on a forum that deals with many gnutella programs. LimeWire is one of them. If you need LW Pro support then you need to purchase Pro so you can have access to their email support. We do the best we can. But we are just users of the programs like you, not programmers or paid employees of the forum.

Oh and LW always uses a incomplete folder. Files always initially stay there until they are 100% complete at which time LW transfers them to the download folder.

The reason why u cant delete the incomplete files is because they are still in use. If that is true it means you're still downloading those files, so cancel those files from downloading first, then delete them from your incomplete section. Man this thread was long ago.
