When I download software it generally has an extension that I can't open. Ive just recently started using a mac OSX, and I don't know what program to use to open the software.

OSX programs will normally be stored in DMG files or SIT or perhaps someone may have zip extensions. For zip, select the file on desktop & go to file menu & choose Open with BOM. SIT files need stuffitexpander. DMG files need diskcopy or disk utility.
Whatever you do, don't download windows programs thinking they are for mac. Not many mac programs out there btw. |
