Could you explain to a software virgin how to do this? Step by step? Thanks!

I get as far as opening the LimeWire app, and there is no index. there are two icons and two "Read me" text files, titled "Source" and "Copying." Help! I have LimeWire 4.12.15. For Mac OS 10.3
I wish I could email someone and discuss it that way! |

LW is no longer supported on OSX 10.3, thus you will need to install an earlier version Lime Wire » Download Out-Of-Date Installers
If problems installing: You get the "null" message in the Apple installer when a OS X thinks a more recent version is installed. Double-click the harddrive icon, open the Library, open the Receipts folder, then find the file: Install LimeWire.pkg, delete it and try again. |

Thank you. I now have the problem which prompted me to dump the old installers. I click on the icon, it shows the loading screen -- and then two seconds later, it "unexpectedly quits."
There was a thread on the forums about a Javascript fault which originally appeared in OS 9 versions. Is this the problem? |
