unexpected quiting?

I'm not tec savy, but i need some help, i have an iBook G4 with OSX tiger lots of free space on my hard drive, and i connect via wireless in lots of different locations.

last time i used lime wire i was in DC, everything worked fine, two days later and every time i open it it quits with in 10-20 seconds promoting an error message saying that the program quite unexpectedly. i checked and i have java working. The application works before it quits, a few bits get down/ up loaded, then it dies... any ideas as to what is going on?

the rest of the computer works fine, except when i turned it on this morning my dock was reset to the original one, all my applications and data was untouched, just the dock had changed, i changed the dock back to my personalized one, and to test restarted the computer, it worked fine with the custom dock.

the app opens, asks me to upgrade to pro, i decline, gives me the tip of the day, i close it, click on music, click to enter text into the 'artist' feiled, then it quits... sometimes as soon as i close the tip of the day, never makes it past the music search page
