Thumbs down Bottom Line is: It Doesn't Work!!!!

Most of these posts are absolutely accurate. LimeWire has never been worse, and I'm surprised that nothing seems to rectify the problems. I'm giving up and looking for another option. I think LimeWire for X is a sinking ship.

Good luck everyone,

PEOPLE!

instead of sitting on a sinking ship, start nagging the KaZaa programmers to make a mac version of their app. that gnutella client wipes the floor with limewire!
So we ALL go to www.kazaa.com and email the phuckers to make a mac version!

Talk about sinking ships? Isn't KaZaA virtually out of business?

You can go and bother KaZaa if you really want them to spread their virus ridden servers to the Mac. Nearly every person I know who uses KaZaa has gotten a virus atleast once and I can guarantee it's from KaZaa. I'd rather stick with this or maybe nag the creators of Morpheus, but HELL NO! to KaZaa.

It works fine. I finally got Mathematica last night, which I've wanted for the past few years but never really looked. Figured I'd give it a spin yesterday with Limewire Pro. Found the software and the keys in about 10 seconds. hehehe....

I've heard though that morpheus (coming soon) will allow us to get all those free movies much easier.

Default Finally found an OSX Solution!

After 2 weeks of trying to get this new version to work in OSX, I almost gave up. It would just sit there and not allow me to DL anything. I would get many finds but non would DL.

Now, I found a solution that works.

If I switch the SAVE folder to ANY folder in my OSX Hard Drive it will work. If I try and use my massive 40 Gig Firewire drive it will not. I have tried everything to get the other drive to allow a save, but it will not. I tried file sharing on, privalages etc... Everything seems to be fine, and other Gnutella apps will DL into it. It's just that LIMEWIRE will not.

I've done several experiments and it is consistant. If I attempt to save in any volume OTHER then the one with OSX installed it will fail. Once I switrch back to the volume that contains my startup OSX it will work fine.

LIMEWIRE crew, please fix this. Many people have additional drives on their system. For me it's the only way to save huge files, as my internal drive is nearly full.

I hope this helps!
