Exclamation ibook g4 10.3.9 connection issue

i've just upgraded my laptop to make it wifi and now i can't get limewire to connect.

it's a belkin 54g router,

and im using limewire pro.

any advice on what i can do to rectify this problem????

It's my guess the wireless is causing problems. The belkin having it's own firewall. Belkin's are generally best & more reliable port forwarded.

Also make sure your OSX firewall is either turned off or set permissions for LW to operate through; OSX Firewall settings for Tiger (similar instructions.)

i now have a different router its a thompson router.

i tried all that you said but i still can't connect.

i've read it through tried the same things but to no joy.

im using limewire pro 4.12 i tried to update it but it won't recognise my email address.

am i completely stuck?

ive tried downloading other programs like torrent and soulseex but they don't connect either.

Pro support only lasts for 6 or 12 months, depending on which option you purchased. The 12 month option has only been available for about 6 months.

1. OS version? Mac OSX 10.3.9
2. What firewalls you have? standard mac installed firewalls
3. How much ram? 256 mb
4. Hard Disk space available? 6.5 Gb
5. Connection type? Broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? thompson wireless router st75
7. Where are you trying to connect from? house
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. limewire 4.12.6 pro, java 1.4.2_12
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Pipex
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? it told me my test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. no just my laptop
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. new problem and experienced user
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? yes although it has worked with that image there previously_ click here to see Sample image
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Upnp is enabled.
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall [I]none, just mac's own **********/I]
16. What country are you living in? Sometimes there are ISPs with the same name in more than one country (eg Clearwire in the USA & also in Ireland). England

ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire = Pipex
