Hello, I'm running a Mac OSX Version 10.4.11 with QuickTime Player version 7.5. But once I have downloaded a tv show/movie from Lime Wire the video that is played back in QuickTime Player is always blank with no sound.
Can someone please help? Thank you. |

We normally recommend VLC player. See Problems viewing video on OSX (click on link). I'd recommend Perian to work with QT. Also get VLC as a back up player, it can also be used for both audio & video streaming off the internet.

Thank you. And how do I get VLC to be my default player for LimeWire and not QT?
Thanks |

Find a file of each type, select each, Command (apple key) & i key, or File menu -> Get Info, then go down to Open with, choose VLC from drop down menu, then click the button which says Change all.
Sample image here: How to change default program in OSX ![]() The Azureus example might be a little clearer but imagine it says VLC instead of Azureus.
