Forum ignores mac.com email addresses

I changed the registered email address in my profile to a mac.com one. The confirmation email never arrived and I was locked out. I tried re-registering, with a different mac.com address, and again the email didn't come. I changed the mac.com address in my original account to another one and it worked. I'm back in. Is it the forum that rejects mac.com or mac.com that rejects the forum?
