Angry New LW versus iTunes

I know this has been addressed in other posts, but I am still not clear about what is happening and what I need to do. I had OS 9 and the previous version of LW. I just upgraded to OS X and the new LW. When I hit the launch button in LW, it just plays the song - I have no idea where it goes. I am trying to get the songs to go to iTunes like it used to. One post said to drag them from LW to a folder in iTunes, but this doesn't work. I have hit the set button in the iTunes preferences. Some posts said to get the associate program download, but I don't know what that is and if it will fix the problem. As of right now, all of the songs I have downloaded from LW will only play on LW and I can't do anything with them. HELP!!

Kristi

First of all, in Limewire->Player preferences, make sure you have the box "Use Limewire MP3 Player" unchecked.

Hope this helps....

Default Quicktime instead of iTunes

When I updated my iTunes software, the songs immediately started changing to QuickTime instead of staying in the mp3 format which allowed it to be played in iTunes.

So I went to the web site referenced in another reply re: iTunes Associator<http://homepage.mac.com/josiahpugh/itunesassociator/>.

ITunes Associator 1.6 is free, I downloaded it (took 5 seconds), and about 50 songs were converted back to mp3 in 3 seconds. Now they work fine in iTunes.

Does anyone know...is this a bug in the v.2 of iTunes? Is there a patch for it? (I just downloaded it yesterday.)

THANKS! CLL
