Default LW on a fast ethernet

Hey
i just got on to colllege and i got a fast connnection ethernet BUt when ever i start LimeWire it doesnt connnect what do i do?

Your college obviously blocks gnutella traffic. There's not much you could do.

no no no eveyone elses kazaa and gnucleus works im thinking its a part thing or my connnection mubers please some help

Well, than it's only the public gnutella pong caches, that are blocked. Wait for the next version, it doesn't rely upon those anymore. So long you either don't use LimeWire or you get a fresh "gnutella.net" file from somebody using LimeWire and copy it into your LimeWire directory.

While this may be stating the obvious, have you tried the File Menu->Connect?

yeah i tried that and it connnect for slit second the goes off again...its definatly sometyhuing technical

there's an older gnutella.net file @
http://mitglied.tripod.de/mdsgeist/gnutella.net

I'm not sure it'll still work, though. I could upload a newer gnutella.net file, but I'm using a newer (cvs) version that changed the format of the gnutella.net file a little.

I uploaded a new gnutella.net file. If you can't connect with it, you probably can't use LimeWire with your internet connection.
