Few search results

I'm using LimeWire 1.7 and it was working wonderful. Normally available were 2-4 TB, sometimes up to 8 TB. The search results were exellent, especially searches for famous artists: 1000 results and more!
But since a while (two weeks or so) something has changed. Available are are much more: up to 60 TB!, but the search results are disappointing: from nothing up to only 20-30 files. That' not funny.
What's going wrong????

i am having the same problem. i tried using limewire about a month ago and only a few hits for a search of something that should return many hits. i tried again today.. and same thing. hmmmm.

I have recently experienced exactly the same problem. I first noticed it when I changed to the 2.6 Pro version, so I thought it was some glitch. But i have recently upgraded to the 2.7.3 version with absolutely no improvement. In the past month or so the number of hits on any search is down by at least 90%. Additionally, before this problem began, when I logged on to Limewire it would show the 1600 files I'm sharing in about 30 seconds. Now the songs are added at a rate of about 1 every five seconds or so. I have to be connected for over an hour to register the complete list of shared files.

I have tried running Limewire with nothing else open, but it makes no differrence. And everyhting else on my computer is running perfectly. (ever since I changed to OSX, which is the most stable OS I have ever used, on ANY platform)

Anybody with ideas?
