So I went to the download page with the hopes of finding a newer version of LimeWire...you know, maybe one that doesn't automatically quit whenever I click the menubar.
And I looked at some of the features of LimeWire Pro, and it has as a feature "No spyware", implying that that doesn't hold true for the regular version of LimeWire. I can't speak for everyone, but I DON'T LIKE BEING SPIED ON! I'm deleting my copy of LimeWire and scrubbing my hard drive clean of anything LimeWire-related. I don't want anybody spyware on my computer. I value my privacy more than getting a whole file downloaded without LimeWire freezing my computer every once in a while. First the annoying ads, plus the whole slew of bugs, now spyware. That's the last straw for me. Will there EVER be a decent file-sharing program for the Mac? Not at this rate... |

You can remove the ads very easily on a Mac. From what I understand, there is no spyware in the Mac version.
