Default LW 2.8.3 won't run on my Mac OS 10.2.3

Tried installing several times...LW will launch but won't respond to commands and is very difficult to quit...Anyone have an installer for an earlier version, which was running fine before I tried to upgrade?

I am having the same problem with the 2.8.5 version running in OS X 10.2.3. It seems to freeze up during launch, but it will allow me to quit. I had no problems until I upgraded from 10.1.5 to 10.2.3. Can anyone help?

Limewire 2.8.5 Pro caused me some problems in OSX 10.2.3 - crashes and filing error reports - that weren't there in 2.7, but the upgrade from 10.1.5 to 10.2 and then to 10.2.3 caused no changes in behavior. I did, however, upgrade to Limewire 2.8.5 *after* installing X 10.2.3. Question is, why does the bug report acknowledgment email say to retrograde the install to 2.7? Is this possible without losing all my settings - will the old install over the new, as though it were an upgrade? Won't try it unless I know...too much trouble!

Does the bug report say how to get 2.7? That would be helpful...

I am also having the same problem with LimeWire 2.8.x with OS 10.2.x. The 2.7 version I had worked fine, as soon as I went to 2.8 it will begin the launch process but then freeze the entire computer - I have to hit the Reset button to restart.

In another posting, I found this link to the general download directory, seems to have any earlier version you may want.

I'm downloading 2.7.13 now. Hopefully this will work...will post back and let you know.

Yes, downloading and installing 2.7.13 seems to be working OK!
