this is my first time downloading music from the internet - I have been able to search & download songs but when I hit the launch key nothing happens! I have an iMac and have an ADSL connection.. what am I doing wrong??

Download iTunes or something that will play your mp3s. I'm not sure but I think LimeWire's player does not work on MacOS.

I realized that I can launch the music from the downloads section of the search tab, but I can't
launch files from my library.. the problem is not all my files are in the download section as I had
hit the "clear inactive" button... I can play the music with SimpleSound.... thanks for your help

Did you ever try finding the folder where LimeWire stored your downloads and play the music directly without using LimeWire? That way you don't have to keep LimeWire running just to listen to your music.
