![]() New version won't continue incomplete dl's Hello Everyone: I just updated LW from version 2.8.6 to the latest one (3.4). In my previous version, when I was unable to download a complete file in one sitting, LW simply picked up where it had left off the next time I opened it (as long as I did a new search that yielded a file with the same name and the same size). This feature no longer works for me since updating. Now it just starts the download from the very beggining again. As I have a slow modem connection, (and LW feezes frequently, forcing me to quit and restart) it was the only way I was able to successfully download any, I repeat ANY, complete file. Is there a way to make this feature work again? Has this feature been removed from the new version, or is this a glitch in the installation? Alternatively, is there a site I can go to for downloading the older version? Any help would be appreciated. Without that feature Limewire is totally useless to me. Thanks in advance for any input. ![]() Not that anyone was offering help anyway, but never mind, no need to respond to my plea for help anymore. I figured out the problem. Either it was an installation issue or a problem with the 3.4 beta version. I dowlnloaded 3.3.5, and LW is working normally again. Daniel |

![]() Moed times than not, if your sytem locks up - DO NOT SHUT DOWN LW - simply re enter the very same title you wer originally looking for. The longer you are on-line the more others will find you. This will simply help to give things a little bit of a helping hand and get you farther down the path to a full DL. I would suggest though, if at all possible, go to high speed DL such as Cable or alse a DSL. Most companies provide the modem for you at no extra cost Good Luck GRAPHICA |
