using limewire 3.4.7 on os 9.2.2 on a g4/400 with 640mb of ram.
every once in a while, usualy when i double click on a file to download it, limewire will comepletely freeze u pthe comptuer for about a minute, then reovered normally. is this a buig or waht? i tried the compression incoming/outgoing settings in both positions. it's done this in the las few versions and is really anoying. is there a simple fix? |

Sounds like LW is accessing virtual memory, which can really slow things down. If so, either give LW more memory, or run it with less by downloading fewer files at a time, limiting uploads, minimizing windows, etc.

I shouldn't think it matters, but might, since Apple says ONLY use 2.2.6 if you are set for secure work with Oracle
