If you let it sit for about a minute or so, it resumes, but you lose connections and are basically starting from scratch. I even reverted back to an older version of LW and get the same result. I never had this problem in the older version but it seems to have gotten stuck in there somewhere. No solution yet but I will keep you posted on my progress.
I was starting to think I was the only one with this problem.
