I forgot to mention, some audio editors such as Peak & Pro Tools can import mp3's directly (but might not be able to save as mp3's.) There is a free version of Pro Tools for OS 9 if you visit the Digidesign website. It's a decent program particularly considering it's free & can even edit movie soundtracks. It only accepts a few 3rd party plug-ins unless you get the full version. Pro Tools is a little different from the average & you might take a while to adjust to it. But it can handle up to 24 bit audio! |
