No connect

Replaced a *really* old version of LM with 4.0.8 on a Mac w/OS 8.6 (hey, it's working fine!). Old LM worked fine, but thought the new one would be better.

The new one never connects. It sits on "connecting" for a few minutes, then gives up.

Help!
