In version 4.2.6 of Limewire for Macintosh there is no longer a button to make particular items vanish from the search list. Sometime (but not always) I can make them go away by highlighting them and clicking on "Clear Inactive," but I am always afraid that this maneuver will make all inactive items go away and not just the ones I have highlighted, and sometimes this won't work anyhow. At present I have about a zillion items that say "Need More Sources," and I would just like to clear them out and give up on them.

Why don't you select those that are 0% (using the Shift key to select multiple files) & press either Stop button or Delete depending on your version of LW. 1st, click on the top of the Progress column bar to arrange them so all those that are 0% are arranged at the top of the dwnld window.
