Question Jukebox NOT Quicktime

When I first started all my song played on MusicMuch Jukebox and was able to burn from there. Then I upgraded my Quicktime program to a newer version. Then I started noticing that most of the song played on Q T .
Problem is I cant burn from Q T. So please tell me how to make Jukebox my player or how to make a burnable file from Q T ?

Not that I'm any windows knowledge but I've found everytime ou install a new multimedia app (particularly audio) then it wants to become the default app for everything. This 'might' help: Setting Default app & check your QT prefs to make sure it doesn't have any over-riding tool. Earlier today I read on another forum where another person complained of QT changing their default settings.

Pity Bird you made the mistake of creating new thread instead of using the reply button. Otherwise we might have been able to get back to you sooner. I've joined your thread on with this one where it belongs.

Ahaaah! So you're using mac. I didn't even know Jukebox made a mac version. (Ignore my last link that only applies to windows!) The best burning app for mac is Toast. Although iTunes can also burn cd's (yes you could import your songs or playlists into iTunes.) But the thing I don't like about iTunes is the limited control over pauses. Toast allows you to maintain the original pause no matter what type of pause or particularly to create custom pauses using Jam. The only thing missing is the butter or margorine. lol

OK OS 9 you will need to go to your Apple menu>Control panels>File Exchange & select the mp3 format & change the default app that opens it. I think from memory it's best if you open the advanced window. It's been a while for me in os9. Choose Jukebox as the default to open mp3's & then you're home free as before.

Did you update your QT from 5 to 6? Have you thought about updating from OS 9.1 up to 9.2.2 & installing the last Java version for os9? Have a look in the General Mac section & the thread called LW 4.0.9 or something. That has links to all of those things. By the way, it's a good idea to rebuild your desktop on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. It's very healthy for the os! Oh & after some installations almost requires a desktop rebuild b/c of damage caused to the desktop folder during the installation process. (Restart holding down SHIFT key until you see question asking to rebuild.)

In the PC Exchange control panel window you'll find a list of formats in alphabetical order. Look for mp3 & then select iTunes as the program to open it. If mp3 is not listed then you can add it manually & give an example, then choose iTunes to open it. Once it's selected there should be a button called open with ...

Note mp3 'might' be listed as mpeg audio or MPG3.

(The creator code/nickname for iTunes is hook.)

There was a utility called ? iTunes something lol but it's no longer made. All you needed to do was drag & drop an mp3 onto it & it would change the file's properties & icon to that of iTunes.

By the way for manual adding of songs to iTunes see: http://www.kapsi.de/files/itunes.html

By the way, iTunes cannot import all mp3 audio formats. Please make a note of iTunes not import all formats & Audion: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ghlight=audion And yes there is now a free version of Audion 3 for OS9. In such a case, you could convert such files as Ogg Vorbis, etc. to AIFF & import them to iTunes just before burning.
