default player/applications How does one designate a player or application for the downloaded files? Mac OS 8.6 G3 Applications loaded on my computer include Realplayer, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, Virtual PC Windows 98, etc. etc. All are the latest version ... but nowhere does either 1.4 or 1.7 LimeWire provide an option for selecting players/applications for a file. Yes, I downloaded and checked both versions. Yes, I have both Netscape and Explorer ... And yes, I've read all the "help" pages. How did you construct this software and omit such an important feature? The downloaded file shows up in the "Library" but no option or information can be found to answer the simple question "Now how do I get the damn file to play!" After four hours of experimentation I have other things to do ... I wonder how much support you have lost simply because others just give up and walk away. If someone has an answer I would appreciate your sharing it. Please don't send it in a LimeWire doc! |
