hmmmm rmj, in your first post you said you "bought the basic programme" and as this is free of charge, I initially assumed you were going through a scam site.

You should have recieved 2 e-mails from Limewire, one a receipt, and one giving you a link to your own personal download page. You can use either this link to download Limewire pro, or go to the download page, and enter your e-mail address you used for the purchase, to download pro. Currently the version is ( pro or basic) 4.10.9, and you should not be getting any other version
I'm not sure if the e-mail procedure as described is the same in all cases.

4.9.23 was released Aug 15.2005 and only lasted a day or so as I recall.... so I'm still thinking you may have got this from a scam site. Scam sites have not been known to charge US$18.88 for "pro" but there is always a first time.

I am having the same problem with Limewire support. whats going on? I never got two emails and I purchased limewire about a month ago from the official site. I can't get any help!!!

I to have had and still are having the same problems as madlands&rmj. I paid for Lwpro but i'm sure i'ts not it, instead i got Lw4.10 when i open Lw it only says Lw4.10. and not Lwpro even in the resources menu there is a link to Lwpro which takes you to the download page, would you need this if you where alrerady using Lwpro?.When i paid i did recieve 2 emails( a reciept and link to my personal dowmload page).Any help would be appreciated. I purchased limewirepro, twice, because I though it didn't go through the first time. I never recieved the two confirmation e-mail's for either one, and i don't even remember if I had to put in an e-mail. If So I only have one e-mail address, and it's still saying it's not a valid e-mail. I paid 18.88 twice, and never got any of the e-mail's please help!!!!

This is the only access that I have found to try to resolve a similar problem.

I signed up to purchase Limewire online with all its options, and when the download completed I was surprised to find it was Frostwire. The program has functioned fine and I was satisfied with the purchase as I did not appear to receive any pop ups etc, and was able to download musicvideo files.

I never received any confirmation of the order which was paid by paypal and now my computer has crashed and my HDD has been formatted for the reload.
I cannot get in contact with Limewire Frostwire sales or support to have the full registered version sent to me again.
I have never receved a confirmation email with a code or serial number to allow me to reactivate myself. What is my next move?

I'm sorry but you've been scammed. For starters, there are no extra options with Pro. This costs $US18.88 for 6 months of updates & email support & should only be bought from the official site www.limewire.com.

FrostWire is totally free as there is no Pro version. The official site for downloading FW is http://www.frostwire.com/

Contact your bank/CC company &, depending on how long ago you paid, they may be able to cancel your transaction. Most will have a department to deal with scams/fraud.
