Just a thought, try deleting all of the Limewire files manually (make sure you empty the trash and restart before reinstalling).
The files to delete are: * The 'Limewire' folder in 'Applications' * The 'Limewire' folder in your home directory --> 'Library' --> 'Preferences' * The 'Limewire' package in your home directory --> 'Library' --> 'Receipts' Once you have done that, open up 'Disk Utility' in your 'Utilities' folder inside 'Applications' then verify/repair disk permissions. Once that is completed, restart the computer and then try reinstalling. Let me know how things go, Sphynx :-) |

Sphynx rules!!
Excelent! I was having problems with Limewire 5.x, I have Mac 10.4, and the available LW version in the site needs Leopard (Mac X10.5) to run due to Java version 6 which is not abilable for Mac users yet. I tryed to install an older version of Limewire unsuccesfully util I read your post. Thanks! No one says how to uninstall in Mac as easy as yo did! |
