I have Limewire set to put my downloaded music into the "Music" folder. I also have it set to copy that music into itunes. My question is, will i then have two copies of every file i download -- one in 'music' and one in 'itunes'? If so what is the best way to have only one copy of every file?

Actually "In iTunes preferences or options> advanced >general you can chose whether to "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" If you tick this option you will have two sets of files. If you do not you will only have the one set in your "music folder" "
Thanks Hobo....

I have a similiar question (and posted it before looking for experts): I have my lw preferences to download to my 'shared' folder and iTunes is making a copy for the iTunes music folder, I'm gathering there is therefore 2 copies on my computer. To avoid the waste of memory, should I just set my lw download preferences to the Music folder, right? But if I want to share the music I download with everyone else looking for the best of EJ, should I just share my Music folder?
Thanks Rfillipsy |
