just have to do "ctrl" and then double click somewhere (you have to select a host before then...)

I tried that. It didn't work for me. :-( I also tried holding the Apple key and clicking on a host and the chat with host option remained gray and wouldn't come up.

It is much easier to chat in LimeWire 1.9 since there is a button available. If you would like to try the beta version, it's available at:
