Im running MAC OS 9 on my powerbook g4 and Im having trouble uninstalling limewire.

I'm able to go into applications and trash the limewire folder but I cant delete it from the trash because limewire refuses to stop running. The icon just sits in the dock and wont allow me to quit, not even when I put the limewire folder back into applications. Limewire continues to (sort of) run and wont allow me to even shut my powerbook down.

I have no idea what to do, I cant close limewire and thus cant uninstall it.

Sorry for late reply as your problem is most likely solved by now. There is an uninstaller within the LW program folder. It is appropriate to use this rather than just trashing the program folder.

But what confuses me is your mention of the dock which is only found in OSX. So I presume you're running LW Classic in the classic environment. I'm not sure why you'd want to do that.

The surest way to quit any program is OPTION COMMAND ESC which brings up an option to quit any running program.
