problem installing on os9.1

i downloaded limewire 2.1 and 1.8 and had the same problems with both versions. As soon as I start installing, my computer crashes. It appears that it crashes when I am downloading the uninstall part of the limewire software. Has anyone else been experiencing this or am I the only one? Also, if anyone has any idea what to do, your help would be greatly appreciated.
