Just to be a little pedantic, System details - help us to help you (click on blue link)

It sounds to me as though you will need to port forward the wireless device. BTW wireless devices are less reliable when it comes to heavy downloading and using torrents. They struggle to handle the multiple connections and may have inconsistent speed and even lose connection.

Exclamation fixed problem!!!!

For what it is worth,I had the same problem.I was using a linksys router before with no problems, since then I switched over to a different ISP(embarq) I hooked up my new wireless router with no connection to LW.....on top of that,LW said I had a firewall,Tech support by phone was no help,I managed to grab a technician out in the field in my neighborhood and told him my prob. They struggled as well...to make a long story short,it was my wireless router, they switched it out back to a linksys system and it works fine.I think alot of the problem w/ connections is actually the router. I ended up having two technicians in my house trying to figure out this problem...once again,it was the router i was supplied when I 1st joined embarq...I am assuming it was the latest and greatest router(white in color,I believe it was called 2wire?)Hope this helps everyone....oh,by the way,I am also on a Mac
