I was just wondering if someone could tell me which file sharing program is "safer"; Kazaa or Limewire? Is there a file sharing program that offers some kind of protection against the RIAA?

It is a basic 'need to use it all the time' tool for today's modern world which is chock-full-a-nuts and creeps !

'Weighing in' at only 1MB, it really ought to be considered as one of the very few worthwhile items that SHOULD be bundled with p2p clients...

Maybe if most of the clients would remove the more or less useless junk <cough> <cough> 'players' and 'theatres' they'd find the 'room' for PeerGuardian ?

You should ALWAYS use Limewire and NOT Kazaa. Limewire is the safer of the two. I know this b/c I have used both of them and limewire which uses hashing is safer.

ALWAYS use PeerGuardian or another firewall when you are filesharing. When you use PeerGuardian while you are filesharing, you will not believe who is trying to connect and scan your computer. PeerGuardian blocks all known evil connection requests for the riaa or its friends.

You chances of getting sued by the RIAA are very small.

2,000 sued/10,000,000 filesharing=1 in 5,000.
