I am after someone to help me. I have now disconnected my network, and connected to the internet through the origonal modem, which has no firewall. I have forwarded the posts for Limewire on Windows Firewall, and also disconnected it, but am still having trouble connecting to limewire. again, widely known ports, and easily blockable...so what if somebody you 'know' is on the same ISP...is he down the block, or in a different city?....different managers, and different nodes on the same ISP...
The_Point being that maybe ports are being blocked, maybe they are being throttled, and maybe not...I just had this problem with BitTorrent...I manually forced the ports to a totally different range, and BINGO, I was connectable...since yur not a n00b, I'm sure you can figure out how to try it yourself...
