Default Can't Connect...

1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) Windows Vista Ultimate

2. What firewalls you have? Norton

3. How much ram? 1Gig Dual

4. Hard Disk space available? 80Gig

5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) DSL

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?
Modem Name: Westell
Router Name: Linksys


7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? Home

8. What version of FrostWire (FW) & Java do you have? (Go to FW's menu
Help>About FW...) Will show both FW & Java version. Limewire 4.14 - Java 1.6.0_01 & Tried 1.5

9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Verizon

10. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. My computer is Wireless

11. Is this a your 1st try at FW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. It worked when I had XP, but hasn't worked on Vista. I have had Morpheus and Bearshare and they both connected with no problem.

12. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of FW's interface? Yes, but Limewire is added to Norton, and the ports are open on my router.


Also http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ tells me Your test worked!!.

You may have to port forward your modem/router, could you supply the model numbers for these, that way I can get the correct instructions for you to open a port for limewire to pass through...

I did port forward it.
Also, I fixed the problem. Other people were having success by uninstalling Zone Alarm and Limewire and then installing Limewire first.
I did this with Norton and it worked.
