Why isnt LimeWire working on Vista??

I got a new Vista PC but Limewire is not working properly. I disabled Aero since I heard it was causing LimeWire to malfunction. Then I downloaded Java 6 and still it opens but doesnt establish any connection. My Internet Explorer aloso goes dead when LimeWire is open. What elso could possibly be wrong?
