Vista???
IS limewire basic compatible with Windows Vista? I don't seem to be able to conect with this new version of windows

Yes, LW works with Vista.
Make sure you're using Java 1.6 & if you have McAfee, you might need to remove some of it's components  Have a look through the threads here in the Vista forum...you'll find lots more info to help.

McAfee and Norton are known to be so bad, taking up too much resources and not finding any virus, try using Avg (freebie), it's so cool, www.free.grisoft.com
