Default technical help needed for limewire problem (no search results)

hello everyone, i'm fairly new to limewire but i have used it before. i just bought the limewire pro for my computer. i'm running windows xp, using a high speed internet cable modem, i just installed the latest version of java for my computer as well, i'm not getting any warning tabs on my computer either. the problem i'm having is due to when i type in a song that i want to search for and download. when i used limewire not too long ago on my computer, i used to be able to have all the songs that i can choose from show up in the large main window on the screen of the search page at the right of the screen with the many choices to choose from to download from. now, for whatever reason, when i do a search for something...nothing shows up in the window at the right. what is going on here? i haven't seen this problem before. i am using a firewall but i don't know if this is the problem or not. please someone help me out asap! i feel like a fish out of water here!

Go to Tools > Options > Searching > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply...

If that does not help try going to your Connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...
(try to take note of the hosts IP numbers if the same ones keep re-appearing add them to your host filter...)

Tools > Options > Filters and select the Host Filter and add these IP's into it and select apply...

Try installing PeerGuardian, it will help keep the fake hosts out...Remember to enable PG just before you start limewire up...
Phoenix Labs » PeerGuardian 2

If you're using Vista, there's this PG2 Beta available for Vista users.
PeerGuadian 2 for Windows Vista beta released - Phoenix Labs

PeerGuardian 2:Manual - Phoenix Labs Wiki

Another thing if you are using limewire 4.13 and later you can apply this hostile list...This will block known fake IP addresses...

Default Still Need Help With My Problem...advice Not Working!!!

hello everyone, this is my e-mail from two days ago. i'm still not up and running yet which is a complete joke. i can't believe for the life of me that i'm the only one on limewire that has had this problem. i simply want to start downloading my music again and i can't view all the available songs to download from in the large list in the middle of the screen under the search menu where you can click on videos/audio/etc. this is my original e-mail from two days ago...please help me out anyone out there...if i don't get any help and limewire hasn't done anything for me with their customer service...i will dispute the limewire pro credit card charge on my account and get my money back...this is beginning to be a nightmare over what should be a very simple problem to resolve!

Try these fixes ....
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...
Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should

If still no luck could you provide these details please...

ctwmn42,

Welcome to the forum.

I guess you've tried the LW Pro support page.

They're located in New York City (Manhattan - TriBeCa area). The only listing I could find is (212) 967-0900; though this Limewire company is listed as audio/visual.

Hops this helps.
