Try Port Forwarding, you have the same modem/router as mine but you have the v6 and they have a Nat Firewall within...

thats very funny, didn't i just say mr.lime commits suicide.
plus if i turn off the router, it still crashes. i have utorrent with upnp disabled and it says the connection is good.

it dose not work on xp. exactly the same problem. what does this mean. i already un installed the network adapter to see, but nothing. unplugged the ethernet cable, nothing.

So when you turn off your modem/router what in the hell are you connecting to, to get a internet connection...

And your video didn't show me anything but the fact you are blocked by a firewall....

oldarney October 2nd, 2007 02:30 PM

i can see the possibility of me having a firewall. the routers firewall is disabled(it says so).
windows firewall is disabled. and avg antivirus doesn't have a firewall. since it occurs in xp too i think it some sort of hardware incompatibility.

How about just humouring me by trying the Port Forwarding...

yeah im having a similar problem. Limewire gets to loading peers and then craps out, leaving its process running (which you can't end...:bangh:) I got limewire to successful load up by uninstalling java version 6 update 3 reinstalling java 5 update 12, running limewire in xp compatiblilty and just for kicks running it as an administrator. However it doesn't even try to connect. I can download torrents with it but thats about it... which is too bad because I loved limewire..:shoot:

port forwarding requires me to know the port that limewire is using. and just how do i figure out the port if it shoots it self in about 3 seconds. (i will be looking for some sort of xml file for this)

No it doesn't, you choose the port you want to use...Try 64049, it explains it all in the instructions I gave you...
