![]() ok iv used limewire on other computers with xp, but now iv got vista and everytime i open limewire i cant get rid of the detecting firewall logo iv disabled windows firwall, iv disabled my routers firewall, iv re-installed limewire, i dont know wat else to do here are my specs and any advice would be greatly appreiciated ![]() regaurds engineh3ad 1.OS version? For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? my router is connected to the comp. via an ethernet cable and the dsl cable is connected to a filter which is connected to a phone extension cable directly to the phone socket. Rather than turning off your firewall, make sure that it's configured to allow LW ![]() Try port forwarding for your SpeedTouch, the instructions are here. ![]() thx very much for the help but havin a problem settin up a static ip adress at the very end it asked me to fill in to an alternative dns and i only had 2. where do u get the alternative one from or does it matter and yes i get a turbo charged connection, but the firewall is causin it to hardly show any results and the download speeds r very slow |
