OKay i am having the old double click limewire and nothing happens i have installed the latest version of Java and changed the compatability to Windows 2000 even though i am running Windows Vista.

So I am trying to find the preferance folder that everyone is talking about. I have done a search with hidden files and folders included for the file .limewire and it came up with nothing

Is it still called .limewire for version 4.14.10 ??

No, it's not. The file is named LimeWire. Have a look through this sticky for more info.
