Default Limewire Uninstalled due to constant popping up.

Alright, I uninstalled Limewire because I noticed two things happening:

1: It kept popping up, even when I shut it off
2: My shared folder had anywhere from 50-400 things that I DID NOT DOWNLOAD AT ALL. I found the root of the installations going to:

C:\Users\(my user name)\-\

I did the thing with BFU to try and rid of it, but it did not work. My virus program (Norton) isn't picking anything up.

I've decided to keep LW off my computer until I fix this.

Now, a pop up keeps coming up every minute or so saying exactly this:

One or more necessary files appear to be invalid. This is gernerally caused by a currupted installation. Please try downloading and installing LimeWire again. If this problem persists, please visit Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent « and click the 'Support' link.
Thanks you.

LimeWire version 4.17.4
Java version 1.6.0_03 from Sun Microsystems Inc.
Windows Vista v. 6.0 on x86

STARTUP ERROR!

To tell you the truth guys, I have no idea what to do. After all of this is fixed, I wont be coming back to Limewire. The fact that there isn't much protection from the files shared scares me to the point of not wanting to use it anymore.

PLEASE HELP THOUGH

Unhappy Fed up with Limewire

Hi new to the Forum, really joined to see if I could solve my problem, but it seems everyone on this thread has the same as I have, Limewire working great until I had to renew my subs. then I downloaded it again and since then, have uninstalled it several time, reinstalled, shut it down it keeps popping up, get message saying my folders have been deleted, then | got a whole lot of files that I hadnt downloade (most of them I think going by the titles were porn) quite frightening, I dont know what to do, apart from uninstalling it, then I have lost my money as I paid for the Pro version, I have sent numerous messages to Limewire but nothing back.

Default Think I've cracked this

Further to my last post, have uninstalled it a couple of times more, but then I uninstalled everything with Limewire, registry as well, then I downloaded it from C/Net (just the basic one) then after installing this (I know it takes up a lot of time) I upgraded to Pro (which is what I had before) (click on "I have had Pro before") thats if you did, you have to give your e-mail address. When I did all this and it all downloaded Limewire started up, normally, when I shut down it stayed shut, no error messages, everything running smoothly (so far) hope this helps someone (Im pleased)
